University medicine in Mannheim and Heidelberg
Since 1 January 2026, the university hospitals in Mannheim and Heidelberg have formed a joint hospital group. By combining their expertise and resources, the two institutions are strengthening patient care, research and medical education.
The collaboration creates new opportunities for interdisciplinary treatment, scientific innovation and the development of advanced medical services. Both locations contribute their individual strengths to the shared goal of advancing university medicine in the Rhine-Neckar region and beyond.
